Frequently Asked Questions

What is Palma Pilates?

Palma Pilates is the first Pilates studio to open in Ocean Hill. We offer reformer group classes and private sessions in a tropical environment and focus on resilience, community, and mindfulness.

What types of classes do you offer?

We offer reformer group and private sessions, including beginner, intermediate, advanced, jumpboard, and prenatal. Our instructors have experience in teaching both classical and contemporary Pilates, so that you will get a complete feel for the method.

How do I book a class?

Booking classes is easy and can be done online via our website on our Class Schedule page. You will be asked to create a Momence account, where you can manage reservations and book additional classes.

Can I purchase a package without booking a class?

Yes, you can make a purchase and create an account directly on our Packages page

Are grip socks required?

Yes, grip socks are required to minimize the risk of slipping while on the reformer. Palma Pilates enforces a strict grip sock policy to ensure the safety of our students and hygiene of our studio. If you do not have grip socks, you will be required to purchase them at the studio for $20 via our Momence platform. Note that we are a cashless studio, so your account will be charged for the purchase of the grip socks.

Is it better to buy packages or individual classes?

Our packages have the best value. A single session is $35 per class, while a 20-pack comes to $30 per class.

Do full classes have a waitlist option?

Yes! We have a waitlist feature for all our classes. If a spot becomes available, you’ll be automatically added to the class. Just make sure to keep your text and email notifications turned on, so that you don’t miss it!

Can I cancel or reschedule a class?

You can cancel or reschedule a class based on our cancellation policy. Private sessions require 24-hour notice, while group classes require 12-hour notice. Cancellations that are made outside of these timeframes will incur charges.

I’m new to Pilates. Can I still take class?

Yes! Let your instructor know at the start of class that you’re new to Pilates, and our instructors can give you a tour of our reformers. We recommend you start with our Sea Breeze: Beginner classes to get a feel for the basic principles of Pilates and learn the foundational movements.

Can I pause my membership?

Traveling? Injured? Need a break? Email the studio at ciao@palmapilates.com, and we can pause your membership for you.

Do you have unlimited monthly memberships?
